洛陽東方醫院是一所有著60余年發展歷史，集醫療、預防、康復、科研、教學、社區衛生、養老服務為一體的三級綜合性醫院，也是河南科技大學（非直屬）第三附屬醫院。醫院前身為中國第一拖拉機廠職工醫院。近年來，東方醫院通過加強管理，技術創新，提升服務，多次在省、市的各項行業評比活動中名列前位。先后被評為：“河南省群眾百姓滿意醫院”、“全國改善醫療服務示范醫院”、“全國百姓放心百佳示范醫院”、“全國百家改革創新醫院”、“河南省醫院管理先進單位”、“河南省平安醫院”等。

The gastroenterology department is theHenan Provincial priorityspeciality, national hepatobiliary diseasesprevention skills demonstrationbase, Luoyang Municipal liver disease researchinstitution, Luoyang municipalartificial liver training center, One-City-One-Center of national artificial liver unit, and has 5 national liver-gallbladderdisease consultationexperts. The plastic surgerydepartmentdevelops giant congenital melanin cellular nevus characteristictreatmenttechnology, enables to benefit thousand patients that come fromdomestic andforeign countries who suffered by this kind of disease, wasinterviewed byChina Central Television (knows as CCTV), Phoenix TV, Fuji TVand numerousmedia.
