于天津大學獲學士和碩士學位，2003年畢業于中國海洋大學藥物所獲博士學位。早期從事糖類化合物的合成研究，目前主要從事生物活性物質的檢測，包括DNA、癌細胞、酶、小分子活性物質及重金屬離子等。研究內容涉電化學、化學發光、熒光及光致電化學等。同時開展了新型功能化材料的研究如碳納米管、石墨烯等。作為項目負責人承擔國家自然科學基金一項：基于核酸適體的光致電化學傳感器的研究（20905040）。山東省中青年科學家獎勵基金一項：基于石墨烯的光致電化學傳感器的制備及其在腫瘤標志物檢測中的應用（BS2011CL015）。作為第一作者發表SCI論文20余篇，其中影響因子大于5.0的SCI論文8篇。申請國家發明專利一項。參編《有機化學》和《有機化學實驗》教材2部，參編《現代芳烴化學-概念、合成及應用》、《有機合成-概念與方法》和《多組分反應》譯著3部。　　近期發表論文：　　(1) Xiaoru Zhang, Shuguo Li, Xia Jin, Shusheng Zhang, A new photoelectrochemical aptasensor for the detection of thrombin based on functionalized graphene and CdSe nanoparticles multilayers, Chem.
